Services
Five studio disciplines, from the first cable run to the final live cue, planned and delivered by one Taunton crew.
Studio Equipment Setup
Aimed at broadcasters opening a new news or live studio, or reworking an existing one. We plan the layout on paper first, then install cameras, mounts, cabling and monitoring so the room is ready to broadcast and easy to maintain.
Contact
- Layout and sightlines
- We map camera positions, the desk, guest areas and walkways against the room's real dimensions, so operators have clear moves and nothing blocks a shot during a live bulletin.
- Cameras and mounts
- Cameras go onto pedestals or robotic heads, balanced and checked for smooth travel. We set heights and lock-offs with your operators so the rig suits how they actually work.
- Cabling and labelling
- Cable runs are routed away from walkways and labelled at both ends. A tidy, documented patch makes faults quick to trace when a programme is minutes from air.
- Monitoring
- We position preview and programme monitors where the director, operators and presenters can each see what they need, then check them against the signal chain before handover.
Bring floor plans or photographs of the room, your equipment list and any power or rigging limits. A short site visit usually settles the rest.
From first enquiry to live broadcast
Every job starts with a conversation and ends with a studio that your own crew can run. The steps below are the same whether we are setting up a room or supporting a single show.
-
Enquiry
You contact us through the contact page with the format, the room and what you need help with. We reply with questions, not a sales pitch, so the brief is clear.
-
Site review
We look at the space, the equipment and the people involved, and note what needs to change. This is where layout, lighting and audio needs become specific.
-
Written quotation
You receive a written quotation describing the work, what it includes and what could change it. Nothing begins until you have confirmed it in writing.
-
Installation and rehearsal
We set up equipment, lighting and sound, then run rehearsals with your presenters and crew so cues, moves and talkback are settled before anyone is live.
-
Handover
We leave rundown templates, cue sheets and notes on how the studio is set, so your team can repeat the workflow without us in the room.
Tell us about your studio and your show
Send an enquiry through the contact page. We will read it, ask what we need to know, and follow with a written quotation once the scope is clear.
