Client Feedback

What broadcasters say about working with us

Comments from producers and studio teams on how our crew handled setup, camera work, lighting, sound and the planning around live programmes.

What clients say

  • The studio layout was agreed on paper before anything was installed, and it showed. Our operators had room to move, and the first live bulletin ran without a single cable issue. The handover notes were clear enough for our team to follow.

  • Daniel's camera work on our evening bulletin was steady and tidy, and he fitted in with our crew straight away. Presenters said they felt comfortable on the desk, and the framing stayed consistent through the whole programme.

Mark AldousProgramme editor, regional news team
  • Priya reworked our lighting plot so presenters looked natural and the set kept its depth. It stayed even across a two-hour live show, which was our biggest worry. We have kept her plot almost unchanged since.

Sarah WhitlockHead of production, live talk programme
  • Tom sorted our talkback and microphone routing in one session. Everyone on the crew could hear their cues, and the sound on air was clean. The notes he left made it easy to rebuild the setup each week.

Why it matters

What good feedback tells us about our own work

We read client comments closely, because they point to the parts of a job that matter most when a programme is live. Three themes come up again and again, and they shape how we plan each new studio.

Calm on the day

Producers rarely mention the equipment itself. They mention whether the gallery felt calm, whether cues were clear and whether problems were handled quietly. That is why we spend so much time on rehearsal and talkback. A studio that runs calmly is usually one where roles were agreed in advance and every person knew what they were responsible for before the lights went up.

Clear handover

Teams value being able to run the studio without us. Comments often mention the notes we leave: camera positions, lighting states, audio routing and the rundown format. We write these in plain language and walk the crew through them. When a client can repeat a show confidently the following week, we know the handover did its job.

Consistency over time

Live programmes can run for hours, and the look and sound need to hold from start to finish. Feedback about steady lighting, even framing and clean audio tells us the planning stage was done properly. We use those comments to refine our checklists, so each new job starts from what has actually worked on air.
